We Have Closed our Retail Location!
On July 1st, 2011, we opened So Dear 2 My Heart “on the square” in Corydon, Indiana right next door to Magdalena’s Restaurant and across the street from the state’s first capital (prior to its move to Indianapolis in 1825). It was a thriving tourist destination with a Bed and Breakfast, Friday night concerts “on the square”, a community theater, parades and re-enactments. (There were two reenactments on the first two weekends we were open, one of the signing of the state constitution, and one of Morgan’s Raid when Col. John Hunt Morgan captured the town from the home guard; all right in front of our shop.)
After three great Christmas seasons and some lean times in between, we decided to close our brick & mortar store on January 1, 2014 so we could “retire” and work in our pajamas once again. We made many great friends and truly enjoyed the experience. I wish to say, “THANK YOU!” to the wonderful people of Corydon for their patronage, friendship and support.
…for our eclectic collection of “whimsies, what-knots & one-of-a-kind treasures. I hope you find something to tempt you, tease you, arouse your passion or lift your spirit… always vintage, sometimes original and never, ever mundane.
